Japanese traditional dance possesses a captivating beauty that can envelop and hold one's gaze. It is precisely this overwhelming allure that gives rise to the notion of "dancing with the heart." Additionally, Japanese traditional dance is not merely a physical act of dancing; it is a form of performing art. Adorned in traditional costumes, I strive to express each movement with utmost grace and beauty.
I offer traditional Japanese dance performances. I will highlight as well your cultural and commercial events, as well as your private parties.
You will emerge in the poetry of traditional Japanese dance thanks to outstanding Kimonos, traditional Japanese instruments players and singers and a unique dance method that will give you and your audience a special moment through traditional Japan.

My Style
In Japan, it is customary for students of Japanese dance to learn choreography solely from their instructors. While I deeply respect this tradition, as a freelance Nihon Buyo dancer, I also take on the responsibility of creating my own choreography.
Through my training in the Kotoutamai Wakamiya Ryu, I perform both Jiuta-mai, considered one of the oldest forms of Nihon Buyo, and Kabuki-style dances such as Nagauta, which developed from the traditions of Kabuki theatre. By engaging with these classical forms, I preserve and embody the essence of traditional Japanese dance.
At the same time, I passionately explore new artistic territories, pushing the boundaries of tradition and bringing my own innovative style to the forefront. With a unique aesthetic sensibility and a desire to convey specific messages, I infuse my choreography with personal expression and individuality, creating captivating and meaningful dance pieces.
Collaborations
I work closely and regularly with traditional instrumentalists such as koto and shamisen players, forming a strong artistic partnership. Together, we present a deeper and more immersive world of Japanese culture.
At the same time, I actively engage in cross-genre collaborations, exploring new forms of expression beyond traditional boundaries. Collaboration inquiries are always welcome.

In our performance featuring koto, shamisen, soprano singing, and Japanese dance, we not only offer an authentic taste of Japan but also provide a grand entertainment that seamlessly fuses tradition and modernity, surpassing the audience's imagination.

Outstanding Performance for CondeHouse Europe GmbH
Chihoco Yanagi, proves outstanding performance as an artist for Japanese dance and Kimono culture. We have been working together since 2020 and started in 2021 with the planning phase for the CondeHouse Europe road shows in Germany.
As a Japanese daughter company, we want to transfer during our road show, Japanese culture, emotions as well as Japanese wooden handicraft, to our clients in Germany.
