Geisha Encounters

Traditional Japanese dance and Shamisen performance

Concept

1. Enjoy Traditional Japanese Performance at Your Place!
"Geisha Encounters" brings the elegance of traditional Japanese performance directly to you.
Experience the refined beauty of authentic Japanese dance, song, and shamisen music (a traditional three-stringed instrument), accompanied by exquisite Japanese cuisine and sake.
In Japan, such performances are typically held in exclusive ryotei (traditional restaurants), but with Geisha Encounters, this rare cultural experience can now be enjoyed at your own venue—anywhere in Europe.

2. An Unforgettable Celebration
Whether it’s a birthday, engagement, Bachelorette party, wedding, or any special occasion—celebrate with grace and authenticity. Let us create a unique, elegant, and truly unforgettable experience tailored just for you.

3. Honouring and Sharing Japanese Tradition
Our mission is to share the depth and beauty of traditional Japanese culture with Europe.
While Japanese culture continues to grow in popularity worldwide, its most refined traditions often remain little known.
Geisha Encounters aims to preserve and share the timeless artistry of the Geisha—an icon of elegance, subtlety, and serenity. Historically, Geishas were skilled entertainers, masters of music, dance, conversation, and hospitality.
Through our performances, we invite you to discover the quiet grace and breathtaking charm of this rich cultural heritage.

The Origin of "Geisha"

"Geisha (芸者)" originally comes from the word "Bugeisha (武芸者)," which referred to a person who has mastered the way of martial arts. Over time, it evolved to describe a lady who has mastered the arts and performs them. Therefore, a Geisha was originally more of a stoic artist and performer than a companion serving food and drink. We aim to revive and present this original image of the Geisha to you.
